    Middle School Principal

    The Catasauqua Area School District is in search of a full-time, contracted Learning Support Teacher to be part of our Middle School team.

    The candidates should have experience with planning and delivering educational instruction and programming to students with disabilities, progress monitoring, developing and implementing Positive Behavior Support Plans, collaborating and communicating with parents, teachers, and team members, problem-solving, and behavior management.

    In addition, applicants should demonstrate a knowledge of the special education process (IEP development), ability to manage caseloads, and maintain timelines. Candidates must possess an active PA teaching certificate in special education.

    Short-Term Substitute: Middle School Learning Support Teacher

    II.  SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS:  

    Instructional Aides (all buildings)

    The Catasauqua Area School District is in search of multiple Instructional Aide positions.

    • Sheckler Elementary
    • Catasauqua Middle School
    • Catasauqua High School

    Instructional Aides provide classroom level support and assistance to students with specific needs in the classroom setting.
    This is a 10-month position (191 working days), 7.5 hours per day at $143 per day with paid time off.  Training and support are provided. A teaching certification is not required.

    Title 1 Certified Aides (Sheckler Elementary)

    The Catasauqua Area School District is seeking two (2) Title 1 teachers for the 2024-2025 school year at Sheckler Elementary.  These positions will begin on August 19, 2024.  A teaching certification is required.  Title 1 teachers provide targeted reading and literacy support to students in grades K-4. Training and support will be provided by our Reading Specialist.    

    10 month position - 191 working days
    7. 5 hours per day
    $180 Per day

    Administrative Assistant to the High School Counselors

    The Catasauqua Area School District is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the High School Counselors to become a part of our committed and skilled team.

    This position is scheduled to start on July 1, 2024. The Administrative Assistant to the High School Counseling office is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the High School Principal.

    The main responsibilities include interacting with the building administrators, counselors, students, high school staff, parents, outside agencies and the public. The person must possess excellent communication skills, good judgment and have extensive computer skills.

    The ability to multi-task is required.

    • Salary - $33,000 or higher based on experience

    III.  BUS AND VAN DRIVERS:

    We offer training opportunities for individuals interested in obtaining their Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate buses. Possible regular run immediately.  Must possess a valid PA driver's license.

    The current starting pay is $22.54 per hour.

    Daily Building Substitute (all buildings)

    The Catasauqua Area School District is in search of multiple Daily Building Substitute positions.

    • Sheckler Elementary (3)
    • Catasauqua Middle School (2)
    • Catasauqua High School (1)

    Daily Building Substitutes report to the same school every day throughout the entire school year. They fill in for any classroom teacher who is absent, following the lesson plans provided by the teacher.
    This is a 10-month position (180 working days), 7.5 hours per day at $140 per day. A bachelor's degree is required, but a teaching certification is preferred. Training and support are provided.

    Substitute Food Service Employee
