    Course Overview:

     

    • Each Monday at 9:00 AM I will upload all the materials for the week onto Google Classroom.
    • There will be an introduction to each section.
    • Notes or vocabulary words will be copied. 
    • I will be going over notes in a video message. 
    • All assessments will be on Google Forms.
    • We will be using the FOSS kit. 
    • I will also include other resources for alternate explanations of the topic. 
    • There will be independent practice which will be in forms of: worksheets, nearpods, edpuzzle, readworks ect. 
    • All work will be due Friday at 3:00p.m. on Google Classroom. 
    • Please use the office hours to ask any questions. 
    • We will be using zoom in this classroom. 
  • Week 1 4/14 - 4/17: 

    - Watch the introduction video and become familiar with technology mentioned. 

    This will be on Google Classroom. 

    Go to our Science Google classroom. 

    Click on classwork, look for the heading that says “Week 1.” 

    Click on the “Introduction” tab. 

    Watch the video, write down any questions. 

    - Fill in History Notes.

    This will be on Google Classroom.

    Go to our Science Google classroom. 

    Click on classwork, look for the heading that says “Week 1.” 

    Click on the “History Notes” tab. 

    Watch the video of me going over the notes and fill in the blanks for your notes. If you are keeping the notes online, toggle between the video and notes. 

    Either turn in filled in Google Document on Google Classroom. If notes were taken on paper, take a CLEAR picture of the filled in notes and turn that it on Google Classroom. 

    - Read Fossil Dating and fill in guided notes. 

    This will be on Google Classroom.

     Go to our Science Google classroom. 

    Click on classwork, look for the heading that says “Week 1.” 

    Click on the “Fossil Dating Guided Notes” tab. 

    Go to Fossweb.com 

    Sign in Username: LeamonPeriod7 Password: Science7

    Click on Book Heredity and Adaptations.

    Under Media, click Ebook 

     Read the article (Page 3-10) and fill in Guided notes. 

    Turn in filled in notes on Google Classroom. 

    - Create a Timeline. 

    This will be on Google Classroom. 

    Go to our Science Google classroom. 

    Click on classwork, look for the heading that says “Week 1.” 

    Click on the “Create a timeline” tab. 

    Go to Fossweb.com 

    Sign in Username: LeamonPeriod7 Password: Science7

    Click on Book Heredity and Adaptations.

    Under multimedia click on “Fossils Slideshow” 

    Look at the slides of the fossils we saw in school. Pay attention to the how old they are (mya = million years ago) 

    Create a timeline and put the fossils in order. 

    You can write their names on the timelines or put pictures. 

    This can be done electronically or by hand. 

    When finished, turn it into Google Classroom either as an attachment or a picture if you hand wrote it.
