READ AND SUBMIT THE CONTRACT
- Visit the TA website to read and submit your contract.
- A parent/guardian submit the contract.
- Your supervising teacher must also submit their portion of the contract on the "Supervising Teacher" page of this website in order for you to continue with the program.
Attendance Policy
- You are expected to attend your TA placement in order to receive credit for attendance.
- You are expected to communicate with your supervising teacher if you are not able to make it to your placement for any reason. If possible, speak with your supervising teacher prior to your absence. If this is not possible, send an email to make them aware of your circumstances.
Assignments
All Teacher's Assistant course content, communication, and due dates are available using Canvas. If Canvas is down, you should email me copies of your assignment so they are not late; however, I will expect you upload your assignment to Canvas once operational. It is important to watch all instructional videos and read all directions carefully. You should email me if you have any questions about the assignments.
Weekly Assignment Procedures:
- Check Canvas weekly for new portfolio assignments - approximately 50% of your marking period grade.
- Complete all tasks assigned by your supervising teacher - approximately 50% of your marking period grade.
- Please be aware that some assignments are time sensitive and can not be accepted late. This is particularly true for assignments in the next marking period.
- Take the time to read the comments I leave for you in your Canvas assignments.
- All assignments are due on Friday's by 3 pm.
- I will contact home if your grade drops to a 69% or below.
Attention Seniors:
Mr. Schnug anticipates your last day to be on **NA for Fall semester** (1 week before underclassmen). I have scheduled your assignments accordingly. Please note that your assignments will be due prior to this date. This means that you will have a couple extra assignments that you will have to complete one week earlier than the underclassmen. At the start of the next marking period I will give you the opportunity to work ahead each week. Plan accordingly.
Grading

- 2 - there is an assignment error. You made a mistake with the assignment requirements / expectations. There are probably comments in the Canvas assignment. You can fix and resubmit for credit. Please email me if you have questions.
- 1 - there is a submission error. The document you submitted may be blank or I cannot view it.
- 0 - the assignment was not submitted. It is late. With the time-sensitive assignments, you may not submit assignments late for credit. However, you may mail me to request an extension on time-sensitive assignments before the due date.
I do not get notifications from Canvas to grade late assignments . If you want credit, email me once you submitted the assignment so that I know to go back and grade it. Points may be deducted for habitually late submissions or if an assignment is submitted over one week late.
