• Focused Assistance & Performance Improvement Plans

    Focused assistance will be provided and performance improvement plans will be developed for professional employees rated "Needs Improvement" or "Unsatisfactory." 

    An initial performance rating of "Needs Improvement" will be considered satisfactory.

    The second overall performance rating of "Needs Improvement" issued by the same employer within 10 years of the first rating of "Needs Improvement" where the employee is in the same certification shall be considered "Unsatisfactory."

    For professional employees, two consecutive overall unsatisfactory ratings, which include classroom observations, and are not less than four months apart, shall be considered grounds for dismissal.

    No temporary professional employee shall be dismissed unless rated unsatisfactory, and notification, in writing of such unsatisfactory rating shall have been furnished to the employee within 10 days following the date of such rating.
