I hope you have all had a relaxing and enjoyable summer. I can't wait to see everyone!
Here are some updates to help with the start of the year:
REMIND : Once again, we will be using Remind as our method of communication. I am waiting for my Powerschool class list to be finalized. Once that happens, I'll send out my first Remind message to make sure we're up and running!!
ROOM 304: This year, we were able to move back across the hall to Room 304. I am waiting to hear from transportation, but I'm hoping that students riding the bus or van will be able to enter and exit the building directly into our room.
We will still use technology as much as possible, rather than pencil/paper. This will help lesson the spread of germs, as well as provided practice in case we have to return to remote learning. (We hope not!)
Many parents have asked whether their student needs everything on the grade level supply list. Typically, a life skills student will use 2 spiral notebooks, 2 pocket folders, and pencils. In addition, tissues and hand sanitizer are always welcome! It is very important that your child have working earbuds or headphones.
Thankfully, we will be returning to taking part in our school wide jobs this year. We are hoping to be able to take some field trips as well.
This year will offer new challenges, and in all honesty, some obstacles and frustration. We will once again be spending class time working on lessening stress and self regulating our emotions. (This will benefit the teachers as well!)
We promise to do our very best to provide your children with the best year possible!!

Determination of ESY eligibility will be made based on data collection from September- January. ESY Revisions and updates to IEPS held from March - December will be made in February. Parents will be notified via Remind whether or not their child qualifies for ESY.
As a reminder, all current students in my class will no longer be taking the PASA, and will instead be taking the PSSA. Please contact me with any questions.
