• My name is Alexander Hess and I was born and raised in Newville, PA. In 2013, I graduated from Big Spring High School before starting my educational career at Shippensburg University where I majored in chemistry with a concentration in Secondary Education. I did my student teaching in Steelton, PA at Steelton-Highspire High School where I taught chemistry and honors chemistry for 16 weeks. I went on to graduate from Shippensburg University with my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry in May of 2017. In the fall of 2017, I started working on my Master's degree in Organizational Development and Leadership at Shippensburg University, where I graduated in May of 2019. I accepted my first teaching position at James Buchanan Middle School in Mercersburg, PA as an 8th Grade Science Teacher in the fall of 2018. I moved to the Lehigh Valley in the summer of 2019 and started working here at Catasauqua High School.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with my dog and my family that has recently just grown with the birth of our first daughter.
