The Catasuqua Area School District has submitted FCC form 470 for receipt of bids on Elementary School / Middle School / High School Wireless Access Points, Cloud Management, and Related Structured Cabling Project.  Details and requirements may be found be visiting the USAC website and searching for the district's 470 posting under Funding Year 2019.  Proposals are due by 10:00am on Thursday January 31, 2019.

THE CATASAUQUA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT will receive sealed bids in the District Administration Office, 201 North 14th Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032 until 10:00 a.m. (prevailing time), Thursday, January 31, 2019, for ELEMENTARY SCHOOL / MIDDLE SCHOOL / HIGH SCHOOL WIRELESS ACCESS POINTS, CLOUD MANAGEMENT AND RELATED STRUCTURED CABLING PROJECT.  Bids will be publicly opened at the District Administration Office and read aloud immediately following the deadline for receipt.

 

Prospective bidders may review and obtain bidding documents at the District Administration Office at the above address, by calling 610-264-5571, extension #0, or on the District web site at www.cattysd.org.  Bids must be submitted on regular forms provided by the School District and shall be sealed in an envelope identified with the bidder’s name and marked “ELEMENTARY SCHOOL / MIDDLE SCHOOL / HIGH SCHOOL WIRELESS ACCESS POINTS, CLOUD MANAGEMENT AND RELATED STRUCTURED CABLING PROJECT.”  Prospective bidders shall furnish their name, name of representative, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and facsimile number at the time they obtain bidding documents.  If they obtain the bidding documents from the District web site, prospective bidders shall furnish this information by completing the contact form on the web site.

 

A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the forms provided in the bidding documents, each in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract and with satisfactory corporate surety shall be required to be furnished by the successful bidder together with the final contract.  The surety on all bonds must have a rating of A- or better by the A.M. Best Company or equivalent rating hy another nationally-recognized rating organization, and be legally authorized to provide such a bond in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  In lieu of a Performance Bond or a Payment Bond, the successful bidder may provide a Letter of Credit which serves as secuity for the same purpose and in the same amount as the Performance Bond or Payment Bond, as the case may be.  A Letter of Credit must conform to the requirements in the bidding documents and must be an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a Federal or Commonwealth chartered lending institution authorized to do business in Pennsylvania and issue such letters of credit, maintaining an office within twenty (20) miles of the District Administration Office at which the Letter may be presented for payment.

All bidders MUST attend a MANDATORY pre-bid Meeting and Walk-Through on Friday, January 11, 2019, commencing at 10:00 a.m. at Catasauqua Area School District Administration Office, 201 North 14th Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032.  In the event Catasauqua Area School District schools are closed due to inclement weather or otherwise on that date, the MANDATORY pre-bid Meeting and Walk-Through will be held on the next date such schools are in session, commencing at 10:00 a.m.

 

All Bids shall be irrevocable, and may not be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled, for sixty (60) calendar days after the bid opening date.

 

The CATASAUQUA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT reserves the right in its discretion to reject any or all Bids or parts thereof or items therein and to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, irregularities, informalities, or technicalities.

 

This contract is subject to the Prevailing Wage Determination of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, dated December 6, 2018, serial number 18-07853.
